III Points Unveils New High-Tech “444” Stage With Extended Sets For 2024

III Points has unveiled a new high-tech stage for the Miami festival’s 2024 edition next month.

When the two-day electronic and alternative festival returns to the city’s Mana Wynwood Convention Center on October 18-19, III Points will debut its new 444 stage, a new destination for underground house and techno set to feature three four-hour sets on each night of the event.

Throughout the weekend, the new stage, built in collaboration with Apple Music and renowned French loudspeaker manufacturer L-Acoustics, will host extended sets from underground stalwarts Yu Su, Seth Troxler, Heidi Lawden, Pachanga Boys, and DJ Koze, as well as a B2B from lauded Miami selector Danny Daze’s D33 alias and Maher Daniel.

In line with III Points’ marked focus on music-first dancefloor experiences, 444 will mark the debut North American deployment of L-Acoustics’ new L-ISA Spatial Audio System. This immersive sound system configuration features 11.1 surround sound and L-Acoustics’ cutting-edge L2 Line Array system, with its patented Progressive Ultra-Dense Line Source (PULS) technology.

These technologies collectively allow sound to be “precisely spread around the room, positioned, scaled, and moved with infinite flexibility within a three-dimensional space,” according to organizers, as opposed to conventional audio mixing, which blends sound between left and right channels.

The new 444 setup will also see the festival work with Apple to archive all sets from the stage at this year’s edition on Apple Music, which will be available for listening in Spatial Audio. This high-fidelity surround sound recording, patented by Apple, is captured with strategically placed microphones among the audience, event space, and DJ decks, giving fans a chance to “relive 444 as if they were in the center of the crowd,” according to III Points.

The 11th edition of III Points will feature performances from Justice, Disclosure, Jungle, Rick Ross, PAWSA, Sara Landry, Mochakk, Jamie xx, George Clinton’s Parliament-Funkadelic, and many more.
